Tenure Awarded to ODU Faculty Members
The Board of Visitors, at its April 24 meeting, approved the award of tenure and promotion to associate professor for 20 current faculty members, based on recommendations from the provost and the board's Academic and Research Advancement Committee. Also on the recommendations, the board approved the award of tenure to Masha Sosonkina, from the Department of Modeling, Simulation and Visualization Engineering, who currently holds the rank of professor, effective with the start of the fall 2014 semester.

In other action, based on the recommendations of the provost and the Academic and Research Advancement Committee, the board approved the appointment of Piotr Kraj to the ODU faculty as associate professor of biological sciences with the award of tenure, effective July 25, 2014.
