The Old Dominion University Real Estate Foundation and The University Village are hosting the 7th Annual Music on Monarch Way summer concert series. Concerts will be held on the green lawn behind the Ted Constant Convocation Center each Saturday from June 21 to July 19.

Admission and parking are free for the concerts, all of which begin at 5 p.m. and end at 7 p.m.

Here is the performance schedule:

June 21 -The Muckrakes. The Muckrakes were nominated for album of the year and indie-pop band of the year by Veer Magazine's Local Music Awards. Together since 2008, the band is hard to pin to one genre since they meld so many vibrant instruments into a heady mash uniquely their own.

June 28 - Anthony Rosano and the Conqueroos. Two-time International Blues Challenge finalists, Anthony Rosano and the Conqueroos blend old-school blues with a modern rock sound. This year kicked off with Veer Magazine's Best Blues Award and continues with a full-length album and festival performances booked across the country.

July 5 - Seth Stainback and Roosterfoot. From East Texas to Carolina to coastal Virginia, Seth Stainback has carved out a niche for himself as a not-so-typical southern songwriter. In 2014, the band won three Veer Magazine's Local Music Awards for Best Rock Act, Song of the Year and Best Live Performer.

July 12 - Gina Dalmas and The Cow Tippin' Playboys. Gina Dalmas is a honky-tonk, country rock, Americana artist hailing from Norfolk. Gina and her band, The Cow Tippin' Playboys, won the 2009 Portfolio Music Award for Best Americana Music and the 2009 Meona Award for Best New Alt-Country Artist.

July 19 - Bartones. Bruce Gray and Nick Bonis of The Jailtones joined forces with Robin Miller, David Hunter and Michael Mosgrove of The Barflys to fill a distinct void in the local music scene--the excitement of 60s and early 70s rock and soul. The band has been steadily and successfully entertaining local audiences for four years and counting.

The University Village is a mixed-use development initiative by the Old Dominion University Real Estate Foundation. The 75-acre urban village, adjacent to the Ted Constant Convocation Center, includes the Innovation Research Park @ ODU, restaurants, shops, student housing, a bookstore, an art gallery and the SpringHill Suites by Marriott hotel.
