Across Campus - A Photo Essay
Service learning and community outreach are at the core of Old Dominion University's mission. And that doesn't end with the conclusion of spring classes. Volunteers have stayed busy all summer bringing smiles to the faces of children through a variety of camps. Here, volunteers from ODU's Arts305 class are seen visiting the Rosemont Boys & Girls Club, in Virginia Beach, where they provided instruction in the finer points of finger painting and paper and clay mosaics. Patti Edwards, a senior art lecturer at the Virginia Beach Higher Education Center, leads this program and others at the club which has had a partnership with ODU for seven years.
