Working at the Dominion Fund calling center can not only be a very fun experience, but it can prove to be very professionally rewarding!
The Calling Center offers the following positions:
Dominon Fund Supervisor
Promoted Internally. The Dominion Fund Calling Center Student Supervisor plays an important role in the continuing development of Old Dominion University's calling program. Student Supervisors should be prepared to gain an understanding of the mission and goals of the Dominion Fund. Student Supervisors will have supervisory control of each calling session. They will be responsible for managing, motivating, monitoring, evaluating, training and supporting Calling Center Representatives. Reporting to the Assistant Director of the Dominion Fund.
Dominion Fund Caller
Rotating Applications. Act as a fundraising representative for Old Dominion University, contacting ODU alumni, parents, students, and friends by telephone with specific goal of securing financial contributions to the Dominion Fund, updating prospect records, and providing current information to friends and alumni.
$8.00 per hour, plus bonuses and incentives.
Dominion Fund Callers Work on two teams - choose the right one for you.
Blue Team - Mondays and Wednesdays, every other Sunday.
Silver Team - Tuesdays and Thursdays, every other Sunday.
Hours are 5:45 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on weekdays and 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. on Sundays.*
Students MUST follow either the Blue or Silver schedule, however extra shifts may become available.**
Attendance is required and affects the success of the Calling Center. Absenteeism will not be taken lightly.
*DFCC follows the University Schedule concerning closing and holidays.
**Optional calling during finals week.
