On Monday, March 18, Linda Irwin-DeVitis will lead this Connect with Colleagues workshop entitled “Concept Mapping for Measuring and Promoting Conceptual Understanding” from 12:30-1:30 in the Learning Commons Conference Room at Perry Library.
This workshop will cover some of the basics about graphic organizers and the learning theory related to their use. Dr. DeVitis will demonstrate how to use graphic organizers to assess prior knowledge, to document learning, to address misconceptions, and to track students’ understanding of concepts and their relationships.
