Author Dinner Deadline Extended to April 8

Annual Author Dinner and Silent Auction
The Friends of the Old Dominion University Libraries will hold their Annual Author Dinner and Silent Auction on Thursday, April 18, 2013. The dinner will be held at the Norfolk Yacht and Country Club, 7100 Hampton Blvd., Norfolk. There will be a reception at 6:00 pm, followed by a buffet dinner. The cost of the dinner is $40 per person ($35 per Friends L ife Member). Reservation deadline has been extended to April 8.
The guest speaker this year is Dr. Craig L. Symonds, Professor Emeritus at the United States Naval Academy, where he taught naval history and Civil War history for thirty years. Dr. Symonds will speak on his latest book, Lincoln and His Admirals.
The Annual Silent Auction will be held, featuring a certificate for a portrait of your house, entertainment opportunities, restaurant gift certificates, and merchandise from some of the area’s finest boutiques. The Silent Auction is one of the major fundraising endeavors supporting the Friends of the Libraries.
The Friends of the Libraries Outstanding Achievement Award will be presented to a faculty member from the College of Business and Public Administration. The award winner will be announced at the dinner.
