New Faculty Workshop: Your Future in Academia
Transitioning to a new work environment can be an overwhelming experience. Old Dominion University and its Center for Learning and Teaching (CLT) are committed to our new faculty members, and we provide opportunities to explore different aspects of teaching.
In Part 6, Your Future at ODU (4/9-11/13), you’ll meet with Jesse Richman of Political Science and Geography, Gianluca DeLeo of Health Sciences, Remica Bingham-Richer, Director, Writing and Faculty Development your future in academia and the QEP Writing Project.

iPad Workshop Series
Curious about the iPad? Come and use one of CLT’s instructional iPads to learn more.
In this two-part series, you will review a variety of apps designed to support your use of the iPad in teaching and discuss the concept of storytelling as an instructional activity.
In the second session, Storytelling with Your iPad, you will review several apps designed to allow you (or your students) to design and produce a three- to five-minute digital story related to your course content. Participants will record audio video segments and use still images to illustrate their narrative. Apps include IdeaSketch, iMovie, iPhoto, Creative Book Builder, Sonic Pics, Explain Everything, and Total Recall.
