University e-Textbook Pilot: Free e-Textbooks for Your Students

Old Dominion has been accepted to participate in a fall 2013 e-textbook pilot organized by Educause and the Internet2 consortium. The pilot program will utilize free McGraw-Hill e-textbooks to explore, evaluate and advance the transition from traditional media models to electronic platforms.

Information Technology Services (ITS) has partnered with the Center for Learning and Teaching (CLT) for the fall pilot to obtain feedback on faculty members' use of e-textbooks and student opinions about their learning experiences when using an e-textbook.

Participation in the pilot is limited and faculty will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis; interested faculty should contact Paula Jamison, Director of User Services (ITS), at pjamison@odu.edu or 683-3199 for additional information.
