Academic Job Search Student Discussion Group Page
In addition to faculty mentors, talking to others who are also on the job market may provide support and encouragement during the job search process.
A Blackboard organization has been set up for this purpose. Just enroll in the organization and you will be able to discuss your ongoing search process with other students and with the academic job search mentors. To gain access to the PFF Organization page:
- Log in to Blackboard as usual using your Midas ID and Password
- Click on the “My Professional Learning” tab at the top of the page
- In the Organization search field type Preparing Future Faculty and click GO<
- Click the “Enroll” button to request permission to enroll
You will receive confirmation from me that your enrollment has been approved.
- Return to Blackboard and click the My Professional Learning tab
- Click on the Preparing Future Faculty organization
- On the site, click on the Discussion link on the left and introduce yourself or ask your question. The Academic Job Search Mentors and other students will provide feedback and advice.
