  • Entrepreneur/Professional Manager. Jim has 27+ years experience in the private sector in enterprises ranging from small, family-owned business with sales in six figures to public companies of $11B+, including part of a team purchasing and operating a $300M multi-channel business His expertise covers management of all functional areas: Finance and Accounting; Marketing; Sales; Strategic Planning; Information Technology; Merchandising Planning and Analysis; Customer Service; Call Centers; Quality Control/Assurance; Distribution Centers; and Supply Chain. As an effective and efficient corporate entrepreneur, he conceived, initiated and ran several new channels and sales media, including a chain of outlet stores. He is a qualified facilitator for several organizational development and customer service programs. Recently he was Principal of Turtle Bay Management Co., Inc., management consultants serving both private and public sectors, including start-up entrepreneurs and venture capitalists. At present, he is Instructor in the Management Department of Old Dominion University and the Interim Executive Director of the Strome Entrepreneurial Center.
