The Darden College of Education's Human Services and Counseling degree programs have been ranked among the nation's most affordable college online degrees by OnlineU, a comprehensive online guide that enables students to compare all online colleges.

OnlineU, a SR Education Group website, ranked the College's Human Services degree program eight and the Counseling program 13 in the nation after conducting extensive research into the cost of attending different online colleges. A message from SR Education Group noted that they were impressed with Old Dominion University's ability to continue to offer these online degrees at a reasonable price.

"Our distance education programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels not only enhance the reputation of our university and department, but make it a reality for so many individuals to access their educational dreams. The Office of Distance Learning and our departmental program directors make it almost an effortless process to offer these programs every semester, says Danica Hayes, Counseling and Human Services Department Chair for the Old Dominion University Darden College of Education.
