Please carefully read the Multidisciplinary Seed Funding RFP for submission details and review criteria.
The 2013 Call for Proposals was round eight of the Multidisciplinary Seed Funding program, initiated in 2005. Five research teams involving 21 faculty members at Old Dominion University and one collaborator from three additional universities (Eastern Virginia Medical School, SUNY Upstate Medical University, Arizona State University School of Life Sciences) shared $241,588 in multidisciplinary seed funding awarded by the ODU Office of Research in the 2013 competition.
The goal of MSF is to support and promote growth of projects that are multidisciplinary, involve areas relevant to institutional research priority, and build teams with serious prospects to attract additional research dollars to ODU.
Eligible applicants are tenure-track faculty, tenured faculty and research professors at Old Dominion University who have not previously served as a paid PI or Co-PI on a Multidisciplinary Seed Funding project.
Total budget requests per team may not exceed $50,000. The research period is January 1 - December 31.
