Friends of Pretlow support the formal and informal educational missions of Old Dominion University's planetarium. Friends receive a newsletter each semester detailing educational and social activities such as our annual Galileo Memorial Fruit Drop and our Wine & Cheese in Total Darkness reception (straws provided, black tie optional).
Friends are invited to all shows and can enrich their own knowledge of the cosmos while offering guidance and financial support.
Hundreds of ODU students completed their general science requirements in the Planetarium and we encourage alumni and alumnae to help us to improve this unique educational experience for future generations. Students of the late Director Bruce Hanna are particularly encouraged to honor his memory with a subscription to the Friends of Pretlow.
