Cultural explosion is the largest talent show at Old Dominion University. The annual event was created to celebrate the diversity among our student organizations. Culture is much more than just where you come from, and Cultural Explosion gives every organization the opportunity to show their purpose through art. Organizations engage in this exciting competition for cash prizes. Each year, this event brings more and more students to celebrate all the different cultures of our campus. The event is free and open to the general public. Cultural Explosion 2008 was held in the Ted Constant Convocation Center and was attended by more than 3,500 guests and more than 20 student organizations, even including local radio celebrity Shaggy from Z104! Cultural Explosion is OIR's biggest event and stands for what we believe: every culture brings something to the table.
