Summer Intern/Guest Housing
Summer Housing for Summer Interns from Other Institutions or Guests of ODU
Let Old Dominion University host you during your Hampton Roads visit this summer. You can stay on the ODU campus and feel confident about where you are living while maximizing your experience. We offer safe, convenient, and affordable summer housing for interns or students working in the Hampton Roads area and/or guests of ODU. Because we offer weekly rates for our accommodations, choosing the exact length of your stay is easy.
Room Accommodations
All summer interns and guests live in fully-furnished rooms. Our air conditioned, single-gender rooms include a closet, bed, desk, chair, and dresser. Each room has cable TV connections and are Wi-Fi enabled. While living with us, you will also have access to mail service, coin operated laundry facilities, a kitchenette facility with a microwave and stove top, and 24 hour on-call emergency maintenance. In addition, refrigerators are available for a small rental fee.
Rates & Payment Information
Payment is due upon arrival for May and June. July and August payments are due on July 1st. Employers can pay Old Dominion University Conference Services directly for intern accommodations. OPayment can be made in the form of check, cash, Visa or MasterCard. A $25.00 fee is charged for all returned checks.

Housing Rates
- $153.10 per week/per person for double room*
- $193.60 per week/per person for a single room*
*Linen package available at an additional fee. Linen package includes pillow, comforter/blanket, flat sheet, fitted sheet, washcloth, towel, and bathmat. Linens are exchanged every 7 days.
Summer Intern ApplicationPREVIEW/Admissions Accommodations
University Conference Services allows families visiting ODU for an Open House/Admissions Events or PREVIEW to stay on campus during the summer season (May through August). Families who may be traveling a bit further or want to stay for an extended period of time to get the full campus experience can do so in a more cost effectively by staying in one of our on campus residence halls. Bookings for the summer season begin in March.
We highly recommend you build some time in your schedule to visit the Virginia Beach Oceanfront, Historic Williamsburg, The Virginia Zoo, Nauticus Museum, or the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center. Our summer staff will be happy to provide you with directions and information on local tourist attractions.
Families staying with us for Preview can sign up for a free dinner with a current ODU student leader the evening before Preview!
