
If you need a little extra motivation and feel like trying a new way to work up a sweat with friends come check out ODU's fitness and wellness classes. Lead by trained instructors, you will learn the ins and outs of many different and popular workouts by the best instructors on campus.
Classes are held in the Student Recreation Center at different times throughout the week to fit in with your busy class and studying schedule.
Make new friends with people who enjoy the same active lifestyle you have or motivate the ones you already have to come out with you. All students and SRC members are welcome to join a class. With so many to choose from you might have to try them all to find your favorite!

You will increase your range of motion, improve strength and cardiovascular endurance, and build core strength in an environment that reduces joint stress and keeps you cool. | Cycle | This 45-60 minutes cycle class offers a high-cardiovascular workout on a bike. This class is for participants who have taken a cycle class before and want more of a cardiovascular challenge. | |
| Monarch Fit | This class will push you to your limits while performing constantly varied functional movements executed at high intensities giving you maximum results in the least amount of time. Space is limited to the first 10 people. | |
| Monarch Madness |
This is a challenging, dynamic, and exciting way to boost your fitness whether you are a beginner or in need of breaking a plateau. Designed from traditional military training, this 45-60 minute class will rattle your strength, endurance, flexibility, and body fat and leave you in peak condition. | |
| Pilates | This is a core conditioning class aiming to increase flexibility, improve posture and balance by strengthening the abdominal and low back area. | |

This is a cardiovascular workout and some strength training wrapped into one 60 minute challenge! Dumbbells, Body Bars exercise bands and steps may be used for an intense class that focuses on muscular strength, endurance and plyometric conditioning for a COMPLETE BODY workout. | |
| Power Yoga |
Set aside your traditional flowing yoga and make room for exercise that combines fluid, core strengthening movements with static holds and some inversions. The vigorous strengthening postures are synchronized with the breath and balanced with calming stretches. | |
| Pilates | A core conditioning class aiming to increase flexibility improves posture and balance by strengthening the abdominal and low back area. All fitness levels are welcome. | |
