University ID Card

University ID Card

Officially a Monarch!

One of the most exciting moments for a new student is getting a student ID card. You'll need it to access your residence hall, swipe into classes where professors take attendance, check out library books and attend athletic events. Your ID card carries your door access, meal plan and Flex Points, and can serve as a campus debit card for your Monarch Plus account.

Getting a Student ID is Easy!

Follow these simple steps:

  1. Take a photo for your ID, making sure it's forward-facing, focusing on your head and shoulders, against a plain colored background. Please avoid wearing hats, headphones, sunglasses, or applying social media filters.
  2. Email the photo to cardcenter@odu.edu, including your University ID Number (UIN), first & last name.
  3. Once your email is sent, you will receive instructions on where to pick up your ID.

Fully Online Students: During your advising session with ODUGlobal, your photo will be taken and sent to Monarch Card & Business Services. Within 7 business days, your ID will be printed and sent to your home address.
