Undergraduate Research Symposium Held

Old Dominion's fourth annual Undergraduate Research Symposium, featuring poster presentations, oral presentations and exhibits by students from a wide range of academic disciplines, was held Saturday, February 11, at the Learning Commons in Perry Library.

Provost Carol Simpson welcomed the audience and presented opening remarks at 8:45 a.m., followed by sessions and exhibitions throughout the day. The symposium concluded with a reception from 3-4:30 p.m.

"The event provides undergraduates with the opportunity to present the results of their research projects in a public forum," said symposium organizer Ivan Ash, assistant professor of psychology. "Students, prospective students, faculty, staff and community members are invited to explore the latest in undergraduate research at ODU."

Six faculty members and fifteen students represented the Frank Batten College of Engineering & Technology during the event.
