Ph.D. Candidate Chosen as Student Representative to ODU Board of Visitors

Old Dominion University's Board of Visitors has selected Bo Ram Yi, a doctoral student in international studies, as its nonvoting student representative for 2013-14.
Yi, who is from Virginia Beach, was selected for the appointment during the ODU Board of Visitors meeting on Friday, April 26.
Yi, who earned a master's degree in public administration from ODU in 2011, is expected to complete her Ph.D. in 2015. Her concentration areas in international studies are conflict and cooperation and transnationalism and interdependence.
Yi works as a graduate assistant with ODU's Career Management Center, acting as co-liaison to the College of Business and Public Administration, and representing the CMC at outside recruitment functions and employer relations activities. For the 2012-13 school year, she also served as a professional development committee member for ODU's Division of Student Engagement and Enrollment Services.
