Summer Sky Series at Pretlow Planetarium
June 18, 2014
Looking at the sky on a clear summer's night is always a treat. But doing so after you've had expert tutelage about the stars and planets will guarantee a more rewarding experience.
To provide that tutelage, Old Dominion University's Pretlow Planetarium is presenting The Summer Sky series each Wednesday night through August 13.
The live presentations will start at 8:30 p.m. with a planetarium show, which will be followed about 9 p.m. by outdoors observation of the skies through the use of ODU telescopes.
There is no charge for the event and anyone can come without making reservations. Doors to the planetarium will open at 8:15 p.m. If the weather is cloudy or rainy, the planetarium show will go on, but the outdoor observation will be cancelled.
