New HRT GoPass 365 Program

HRT GoPass365

Last year, Old Dominion University, NSU, TCC, and EVMS participated in a pilot program of Hampton Roads Transit (HRT) that offered free transit services to students, faculty and staff at a minimum cost to the universities. This program, called the "GoPass365," ended on June 30, 2013.

HRT's financial condition has forced it to increase the university's original cost of $6.50 per person to $250 per person for the upcoming year. Unfortunately, the university is unable to sustain this substantial increase.

While we are not able to provide free passes this year, Old Dominion University will offer a modified GoPass365 program to accommodate our frequent transit users. These new passes, which will be sold at a significant discount, will be valid effective July 1, 2013.

The passes will be available to students, faculty and staff and will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. A limited number of passes will be available per semester at a cost of $12.50 for students; $60 for faculty and staff; and $125 for third-party employees.

The new HRT GoPass365 are available for purchase at the Office of Transportation and Parking Services, 4310 Elkhorn Avenue. You will need your ODU ID card to purchase the pass.

We regret that we are unable to continue the original program, but believe the modified program continues to offer a considerable benefit to our community and its most frequent transit users.

How to Get and Use Your GoPass365

GoPass365's are available for purchase at the Transportation and Parking Services Office. A valid ODU ID card is required to purchase a discounted GoPass365. If you do not have an ODU ID, ID's are available at the University Card Center in Webb Center.

A valid ODU ID card is required to be shown when boarding any HRT service in conjunction with your GoPass365.

If you experience any problems using your new GoPass365 it is important to collect as much information as possible such as bus number, route, time and if possible driver's information. Please report any problems to our office as soon as they happen so we can work with HRT on correcting them.

GoPass365 passes are non refundable.
