Getting around campus and exploring the surrounding Hampton Roads area is easy with the different options that ODU gives students. For short distances to and from class, the Norfolk weather provides a great setting to walk, bike or skateboard. For farther distances, ODU also makes it easy for students to rent zip-cars, ride the shuttle bus or catch a ride with the Hampton Roads Transit system. Upperclassmen and commuter students can take advantage of our multiple parking lots and garages to drive your own car to campus. At ODU, we take every measure to keep you safe. If you're a night owl and are studying late or visiting with friends across campus, the ODU Police Department and the Office of Transportation and Parking Services can give you a safe ride or escort back to your dorm or car.
