What is Preview?
Preview is ODU's on-campus orientation program. The events include educational planning, course selection and registration, student and parent interaction, and an overview of resources and campus life.
Preview is different from an Open House, which is a general information session about the University for prospective students.
Am I required to attend Preview?

Freshman Preview is required.
3+ years since high school graduation and few or no transfer credits
|Transfer Online Orientation and an on-campus Transfer Preview are required.|
|Transfer student (0-23 credits)||Transfer Online Orientation and an on-campus Transfer Preview are required.
|Transfer student (24+ credits)||Transfer Online Orientation is required, and an on-campus Transfer Preview is strongly recommended. If you opt out of the on-campus Preview, please make an appointment with your academic advisor for registration. Please note: All students majoring in the College of Business and Public Administration are required to attend the on-campus Transfer Preview.|
|Distance learner||Transfer Online Orientation is required. You may attend an orientation and receive academic advising at your distance site.|
Second-degree or Degree continuing student
|Make an appointment with your academic advisor to register for classes.
|Register for classes in Leo Online. If you need assistance, make an appointment with your academic advisor. You will attend Preview once you become degree-seeking.
How do I find out more and register?
Registration for Preview is now closed. Please contact your advisor to register for classes. You will also need to complete the Writing Sample Placement Test. If you are an incoming freshman who graduated prior to 2011 or an incoming transfer student, please also complete the Online Orientation.

If you are an incoming freshman, in order to access the WSPT, you will need to email email@example.com and tell them that you missed Preview and need to be put in the course that gives you access to the WSPT. Please be sure to include your name, UIN, and Midas ID.
If you are a student who is required to complete the Online Orientation, you will gain access to the WSPT in Blackboard 2 to 3 business days after you complete the Online Orientation.
