Satellite Switch Flipped, ODU Completes Its Transition to Online Delivery Model for Distance Learning Courses

On Wednesday, August 13, 2014, the era of satellite broadcast from Old Dominion University Distance Learning ended with the simple flip of a switch. Now all distance learning courses will be conducted online.

Reporter Shankar Vedantam, who does a segment for NPR called "Hidden Brain" on social science research, interviewed Li about a study the ODU professor did on parking tendencies and their correlation with economic growth.

Life in Hampton Roads Survey featured in Media Reports and HearSay Radio Program

Old Dominion University released last week its annual Life in Hampton Roads survey that takes a deep look at social and economic indicators of quality of life in the region. This week, Jesse Richman and Tancy Vandecar-Burdin, director and associate director of the research center, respectively, discussed the survey's results on "HearSay," a popular public affairs radio show that is broadcast on WHRV FM 89.5. The one-hour call-in show aired Tuesday, Aug. 26, from noon to 1 p.m.
