Unless specified, the program start date listed on your I-20 or DS-2019 will be dated for Session 1. Whether initially entering the U.S. or in current attendance at another U.S. institution, failure to report to campus by the specified date and satisfy enrollment requirements will jeopardize your F-1 or J-1 status. Full-time, physical (face to face) classroom enrollment is required. Class availability is limited during the summer terms, so you must contact your academic department in advance of your arrival to verify course offerings.
