The strategic planning process begins with the steering committee and the four individual topic committees.
Save the Date: December 6 for Open Forum on ODU's Strategic Plan for 2014-1019
As previously announced, Dr. Ellen Neufeldt and I co-chair the Steering Committee for the University's next 5-year Strategic Plan. Strategic Planning is critically important to ensure that the University fulfills its mission and is well-positioned for a vibrant future.
The Steering Committee and the 4 Topic Committees listed below are keen to receive input from the ODU community while different ideas are still being discussed. To that end, we will hold an initial open forum to present progress on the Strategic Plan for 2014-2019 on Friday, December 6, 2013 from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm in Constant Hall 1002. I hope that you will be able to join us.
The forum will begin with initial findings from the Topic Committees and then the floor will be open for your feedback and discussion of important directions that the University should take. As a reminder, the 4 topic committees are:
- Academic and Research Strengths;
- Enrollment Management;
- Entrepreneurship and Economic Development; and,
- Community Engagement, Locally and Globally.
Dr. Neufeldt and I encourage your attendance at the Forum and your participation in the discussion.
