Sororities

Panhellenic Council Mission

The Old Dominion University Panhellenic Council (PHC) serves as the governing body for the 6 national sororities on campus. The Panhellenic women work together to unite sororities, to focus on common goals, and to create a network of support for chapters and members. We provide many interactive programs for sorority women as well as for all ODU students.

Panhellenic is the voice of all PHC chapters at Old Dominion. We will be an equal and united body, and serve as both a resource for and a representation of all chapters. We will improve unity between all chapters and councils, recruit and reach beyond the Fraternity and Sorority Life community, and serve as a model of the ideal Sorority woman, as outlined by our creed.

The PHC annually works with the Interfraternity Council and the National Pan-Hellenic Council to sponsor many educational and fun events, including variety of speakers, conferences, and many diverse leadership programs.

Every sorority woman is a member of PHC immediately upon pledging. Two delegates from each chapter serve on the council, while officers are elected from the different chapters to plan and support Panhellenic associated activities.

National Pan-Hellenic Council Mission

To unite members and associate members of the NPHC council. To promote unity among Greek Letter organizations and the campus community.
