Remote Access

Every Old Dominion University student currently has 250 MB of allocated file storage through their ODU Local Area Network (LAN) account. When you are on campus and logged into any ODU computer, access to your files stored on the University's network servers (H: drive) is established automatically through your account login, which maps your network drives.

If you are not using a desktop connected to the University's network, then you will need a configure a connection to access and manage files stored on the University's servers.

The tutorials below will help you to configure your computer to remotely access your files.

When remotely accessing files stored on ODU's network servers, you will need to establish a WebDAV connection. Use the instructions below for the operating system you are currently using to configure your computer and connect using WebDAV. Students will be making a WebDAV connection to https://monarchfiles.odu.edu. WebDAV links are not a web connection (URL) and will not work using a browser.

H: Drive Migration

Please Note: The University is in the process of phasing out LAN student file storage space and transitioning student file storage to Google Drive. Students will no longer be able to save new files to their H: drive as of October 13, 2013. The LAST DAY to access your H: drive is December 18, 2013.
