Heinicke threw for 533 yards in Saturday's win at Idaho, the third most by an FBS quarterback this season and the second most in his career, second only to his Division I record of 730 yards last season against New Hampshire.

The junior signal caller was 40 of 56 in passing with four touchdown passes at Idaho. He also rushed for 20 yards and a touchdown. Heinicke has 98 career touchdown passes and with two more would become only the 16th quarterback in NCAA history to surpass 100 career touchdown passes.

Heinicke was also named the CFPA National Quarterback of the Week and the College Sports Madness Independent Quarterback of the Week.

For the season, Heinicke is 303 of 426 for 3,551 yards and 29 touchdown passes. He leads the FBS with his 3,551 passing yards, and his 29 TD passes are the third most in the FBS.
