Implementation Plan for MonarchTeach Courses

The new MonarchTeach courses are scheduled to be offered for the first time in the semesters shown here. MonarchTeach faculty plan to continue offering these courses every subsequent semester after they are first introduced.

Fall 2013: Step 1 - Inquiry Approaches to Teaching STEM

Spring 2014: Step 2 - Inquiry-Based STEM Lesson Design

Fall 2014: Knowing & Learning in Mathematics and Science

Spring 2015: Classroom Interactions

Fall 2015: Perspectives and History of Science and Mathematics

Curriculum Plan

Freshman and sophomore students may start the first MonarchTeach course, Step 1, any semester after Fall 2013. Step 2, the second course, may be taken any semester after completion of Step 1.

Students should contact their departmental academic advisor to determine how the MonarchTeach courses will be integrated into the schedule of departmental courses.

Students who start Step 1 in Fall 2013 or later can plan to take the MonarchTeach courses in the sequence shown below.
