Spring 2014 Move-in
We are so excited to welcome you to, or back to, campus! We have been eagerly preparing for your arrival. Move-in can be very hectic but will have staff around to assist you on these days. Please read through your move-in guide to learn your check-in date, time and location along with other helpful information. Also, before you arrive make sure to read the Policy and Procedure Guide located in the right column of this website. The Policy and Procedures help you to better understand what it means to live in a community and what is expected of you as a student living on campus.
Remember you will need your ODU ID card in order to check-in!

If you are a returning resident, you are welcome to sign up to assist us in greeting our new students to campus through our Monarch Mover program. Monarch Movers help our students move into their buildings and welcome our students to, or back to, campus. Movers will assist with cart check-outs, ice cream handouts, and physically moving items into the halls.
If you are interested in becoming a Monarch Mover for the spring semester please email Leon McClinton at email@example.com.
If you live on campus...
Monarch Movers are allowed to move in to the residence halls early in return for assisting. For each 4-hour shift, a student will be waived one night's early arrival fee. Please also complete the Early Arrival Form and return it to our office. Further move-in instructions will be emailed to you.
In order to request an Early Arrival to campus students must be with a University sponsored group that requires the student to arrive to campus prior to his or her official move-in date.
Your room at ODU can be a great space to live comfortably while also expressing yourself. To minimize damage and maximize safety, students are asked to bring only approved items to their on-campus living space.
