Brian K. Holland '93

Brian K. Holland '93 was appointed to the Board of Visitors July 1, 2022 by Governor Glenn Youngkin. He currently serves on the Board's Athletics, Academic & Research Advancement, and Audit, Compliance and Human Resources Committees.

Holland is the Founder and President and CEO of Atlantic Bay Mortgage Group. The company was founded in 1996, is headquartered in Virginia Beach, Virginia. It has specialties in mortgage lending, FHA, VA, VHDA, and rural housing.

Holland received his BS in Finance from the College of Business and Public Administration at Old Dominion University in 1993. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Old Dominion Athletic Foundation and previously served on the Advisory Board for the College of Business and Public Administration. In 2004, he received the Distinguished Entrepreneur of the Year Award. In 2010, Holland served as a panelist for the Landmark Executive in Residence entrepreneurship panel discussion on campus. He is a Men's basketball (courtside seats) and football (suite seats) season ticket holder. Atlantic Bay Mortgage Group secured naming rights for the FB Game Day Complex at S.B. Ballard Stadium in 2017. ABMG is a monarch partner of ODU Sports Properties.

Holland is active in the community. He has served on the board of Multiple Sclerosis for Hampton Roads, has membership in the Young Presidents' Organization, Virginia, and is a charter member and membership chair of the Entrepreneurs' Organization, Southeast Virginia chapter. He is also a former member of the Economics Club of Hampton Roads. Holland's community involvement is an aspect of Atlantic Bay Mortgage Group as well. In the past, ABMG has sponsored the Multiple Sclerosis Walks and created an "Elderly Angel Tree Program" which gives thousands of gifts to the elderly for Christmas. In addition, each month ABMG donates $5,000 to those in our communities who are in need of financial assistance. Nominations are received through AB Cares, Atlantic Bay's community service program, and through a public voting process, five recipients are given funds to support their organization.

Holland enjoys playing golf and is a member of Bayville Golf Club in Virginia Beach. His spouse, Jennifer Holland '95, is also an alumna. She received her BS in Human Service Counseling from the Darden College of Education at Old Dominion University in 1995. The couple has three children: Conner, Haley, and Harper.
