In 2019, a group of Civil and Environmental Engineering Undergraduate Students participated in the Biannual American Concrete Institute Fiber-Reinforced Polymer (FRP) Composites Competition on Sunday, October 20th in Cincinnati, Ohio. The challenge in this competition was to design, construct, and test a concrete structure reinforced with fiber-reinforced polymer reinforcement to achieve the lowest cost-load ratio. Represented by Steven Kabath ('20), Antonio Ashlock ('20), Tyler Thornhill ('20) and Rose Hunyh ('21), this team placed 22nd out of 38 international teams.
