September 2021, the Association for Research and Assessment in Counseling, a national division of the American Counseling Association honored Dr. Emily Goodman-Scott with an award for her research and assessment in school counseling: The Exemplary Practice Award: Professional. This national award is given once a year to an individual who has contributed significant levels of service and/or publications consistent with the rendering of exemplary assessment or research practices in the counseling field.
