Dr. Chunsheng Xin and Dr. Khan Iftekharuddin, both Professors in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, are to lead a Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) Site at ODU on Deep Learning Driven Cybersecurity Research in a Multidisciplinary Environment funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) this Summer 2021.
Students from all relevant disciplines, including computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, criminal justice, system engineering, psychology, etc., are encouraged to apply and work on a cybersecurity project. The 10-week summer program includes various events such as seminars, career/graduate study panels, field trips to Navy Cyber Defense Operations Command.
