Another successful celebration of National Engineers Week (EWeek) helped to showcase the Batten College of Engineering and Technology and bring awareness to the engineering profession.

The College of Engineering hosted a variety of activities including pop-up advising, engineering panels, networking and a student appreciation social.

Sharon Monica Jones, deputy director for the Transformative Aeronautics Concepts Program at NASA Headquarters, was a special guest speaker during the event. Jones was one of the first African American women to earn a doctorate in engineering management from Old Dominion University.

On Friday, area high school students toured the College of Engineering, marking the end of a successful week.

Thanks so much to everyone who participated!
