Weather Announcement: ODU to Close Early Ahead of Inclement Weather

Due to winter weather forecasted for the Hampton Roads region, Old Dominion University will close today, Feb. 16, at 4 p.m.
All classes that begin at 4 p.m., or later, are cancelled. Classes that are in session and scheduled to meet until after 4 p.m. will end at 4 p.m.
All activities and events scheduled after 4 p.m. are cancelled.
Essential personnel should report for duty as normal. Questions should be addressed to your supervisor.
Students in residence halls are encouraged to move vehicles into University parking garages today, prior to the arrival of precipitation.
The Student Recreation Center will be open its regular hours today, until midnight. However, all formal programs and activities, including swimming pool use, are cancelled.
- The Library will close at 4 p.m., but the Learning Commons will remain open until 10 p.m. and reopen at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 17.
- Webb University Center will remain open for normal operating hours today, until midnight. However, all meetings scheduled in the building after 4 p.m. are cancelled.
- A Monday night (Feb. 16) performance by flutist Jim Walker, at the Diehn Center for the Performing Arts, has been cancelled. A Black History Month lecture scheduled for Tuesday (Feb. 17) featuring Rashad Robinson, executive director of Color of Change, has been cancelled and will be rescheduled.

- Chickfila - closes at 9 p.m.

- Panda Express - closes at 9 p.m.
- Cane's- normal hours
- Pods - all will have normal hours
- Cstores - normal hours
- Einstein's Bagels - closes at 4 p.m.
- Gresham - closed
- Faculty/staff - closed
The University has not yet made a decision about tomorrow's operating hours. Officials will continue to monitor the weather through the night and a decision will be made by 5:30 a.m.
If the university delays opening or is closed, an announcement will be sent via campus-wide email, posted to odu.edu, and broadcast on the local television stations WTKR-TV 3, WAVY-TV 10 and WVEC-TV 13.
