Strome College of Business Researchers to Present Peninsula Economic Forecast on May 21

Researchers with Old Dominion University's Dragas Center for Economic Analysis and Policy of the Strome College of Business will present a Peninsula-specific economic forecast May 21 in Newport News.

Vinod Agarwal, professor of economics and director of the Economic Forecasting Project, will give the review and forecast for the communities north of the James River. Robert McNab, director of the Dragas Center for Economic Analysis and Policy, will examine the performance of the national and Virginian economies and forecast growth for 2019. The event begins at 8 a.m. at the Newport News Marriott in City Center.

The forecast will include sections on the real estate market, the military outlook and tourism - all sectors that significantly impact the Peninsula economy.

The event is presented in partnership with the Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce. Registration may be made through the chamber's website.
