Dr. Sue Kimmel, Graduate Program Coordinator and Associate Professor of Library & Information Science, is a recipient of the 2019 American Association of School Librarians (AASL) Research Grant for her article with Danielle E. Hartsfield, "Does ALA Ban Books? Examining the Discourse of Challenged Books," published July 2019 in Library School Quarterly.

She will share her research topic during the research grant paper session at the national conference at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 16.
