VDOE Cites ODU TEAMS Initiative

The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) cited the TEAMS initiative as a "Model Virginia Programs and Initiatives" for Military Families in the Commonwealth.

Two of the school divisions that TEAMS partnered with to implement programs, Virginia Beach and Newport News, were also cited. The National Military Project of NMSI collaborated with TEAMS to provide AP Math, Science, and English training during the summer 2013. Dr. Levingston also represented ODU with the Blue Star Families project.

In total, ODU either directly implemented or materially supported five of the seven cited model educational programs for military families in Virginia!
