ODU honored its nine nominees for the 2014 Virginia Outstanding Faculty Awards at a luncheon Jan. 13. Administered by SCHEV and funded by a grant from the Dominion Foundation, the awards program will announce the statewide winners on Jan. 23.

Back to School: A Photo Essay
Faculty and students returning to campus for the spring semester were greeted by a mixed bag of weather as they also became acclimated once again to the academic environment. Monday's high of 62 degrees was followed by a slightly cooler and fog-covered start to the day on Wednesday. Today's high temperature was only expected to reach 43 degrees.

Smithson, Webb Center housekeeping supervisor, retired on Jan. 1 after 38 years at Old Dominion.
