Modeling & Simulation

Bachelor of Science

The Department of Modeling, Simulation and Visualization Engineering offers an undergraduate, four-year degree program leading to the Bachelor of Science Degree in Modeling and Simulation Engineering (M&SE).

Modeling and Simulation Research

Minor

Students wishing to minor in modeling and simulation should consult the catalog they are following for their major plan of study and meet with the MSVE Department. An undergraduate minor in modeling and simulation may be obtained by successful completion of 12 or more credit hours of approved engineering and computer science course work at the 300 or 400 level.

Graduate Programs

Student Studies Engineering Research

Master of Engineering

The master's degree in modeling and simulation (M&S) emphasizes a strong, common subject core while providing the student with the flexibility to design a plan of study to meet each individual's study objectives and needs. An online option is available for this degree program.

Computer Engineering Researcher

Master of Science

The MS degree in modeling and simulation is a 30 credit hour program that requires a thesis. It is directed primarily at full-time students who are preparing for a career in advanced M&S research and/or academic positions.

Simulation

Doctor of Engineering

he Department of Modeling, Simulation and Visualization Engineering offers a graduate program leading to the Doctor of Engineering in Modeling and Simulation (DEng-M&S).

Modeling & Simulation

Doctor of Philosophy

The Department of Modeling, Simulation and Visualization Engineering offers a graduate program leading to the Doctor of Philosophy in Modeling and Simulation (Ph.D.-M&S).

VMASC Research

Certificates

The Graduate Certificate in Modeling and Simulation Engineering is designed for those who meet the admission requirements of the modeling and simulation master's program who wish to broaden their knowledge of modeling and simulation related principles and practices without pursuing a graduate degree.
