Heavy Rain and Flooding Advisory

6:27 p.m.: Flash flood warning extended until 8 p.m. Numerous streets near the main and medical campuses still flooded; water slowly receding. When leaving campus, exercise extreme caution and do not drive through floodwaters.
5 p.m.: Flash flood warning for Norfolk continues through 6 p.m. Heaviest rain has ended but numerous streets near the main and medical campuses are still flooded. Avoid driving until floodwaters recede; when leaving campus exercise extreme caution and do not drive through floodwaters.
4 p.m.: Heavy rain and flooding in the area may cause leaks or water intrusion in some campus buildings. Please remain alert to changing conditions and use caution, particularly around wet floors and standing water.
If you are in a building and have concerns about your safety, please leave the affected area and relocate to Chartway Arena. Do not attempt to get in your car and drive as roadways are flooded.
