More than 250 photographs were submitted in the Office of International Programs' second annual International Photography Competition - 100-plus more than last year. Open to current and former members of the ODU community, the contest attracted entries from 88 people. Most were students, but the entrants also included a few faculty members, staff members and alumni.
It's easily the nicest Friday afternoon of the semester. The campus has emptied out, as many students, staff and faculty members have set out to enjoy a warm, spring weekend. But in one large lecture room in Constant Hall, two dozen students sit, dressed professionally, a study in concentration. They are aspiring entrepreneurs. And they're about to present business plans for their start-up ideas to ODU faculty and members of the CBPA Advisory Board.
Approximately 300 children from 12 Norfolk public elementary schools will visit Foreman Field at S.B. Ballard Stadium Tuesday, April 22, for the fifth annual Little Feet Meet for Children with Disabilities.
An ODU business professor has been selected by academic colleagues from around the world to spearhead the creation of the International Corporate Governance Society, a nonprofit educational association dedicated to addressing governance problems in the global economy.

Taylor Heinicke threw three touchdown passes to lead the White Team to a 21-14 victory in the annual ODU Spring Game Saturday afternoon at Foreman Field at S.B. Ballard Stadium. The game was part of an exciting and eventful day on campus, starting with the first-ever Big Blue 5K, which was followed by the Big Blue Barbecue. Head coach Bobby Wilder announced that Heinicke, Eriq Lewis, Andre Simmons, Josh Mann and Antonio Vaughan will be captains for the 2014 season. This will be the third straight season for Heinicke as a team captain and the second straight for Simmons.
