Cliff Page, a graduate of Old Dominion University, has been appointed sculptor-in-residence at the Saint-Gaudens National Historic Site in Cornish, N.H.
Page, who operates a gallery in Portsmouth, Va., will sculpt daily and give weekend classes in sculpture at the site, which is operated by the National Park Service, from June through October.
Page is a 1974 graduate of the University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in sculpture and graphic design. He also earned a Master of Fine Arts degree from East Carolina University.
Page's career in sculpting and design includes a Fulbright Fellowship to Milan, Italy, where he worked in the studio of internationally renowned sculptor Arnaldo Pomodoro.
He mastered his specialty of bronze casting in the foundry at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth and managed the wood shop at Norfolk Naval Base.
Saint-Gaudens is the only park site in the U.S. Department of the Interior dedicated to a sculptor or to feature a sculptor-in-residence.
