UTeach STEM Educators Conference 2023
MonarchTeach faculty and students attended the UTeach STEM Educators Conference in Austin, Texas. In addition to attending the conference, students from the MonarchTeach Student Organization (MTSO) presented a poster at the conference. The poster highlighted the student organizations work with foster youths here at ODU. During the 2022-2023 academic year, the MTSO had the opportunity to provide STEM activities for the First Star ODU Academy. The First Star ODU Academy is a part of a national public charity that focuses on the long-term college readiness programs for high school foster youth, referred to as "scholars."
