Ruth Archambault Knows There’s More to Geology Than Meets the Eye
Newlywed Ruth Archambault graduated from Old Dominion University on Saturday, May 6, along with her husband Seth Green. Archambault-Green received a Bachelor of Science in ocean and earth sciences (OES) with a concentration in geology and a minor in military leadership. She’ll tell anyone willing to listen that “studying geology is more than looking at the ground and identifying rocks,” and she believes her degree and military background will help leverage her career.
Kayla Pineda Wins Virginia Space Grant Consortium Scholarship
Old Dominion University rising junior Kayla Pineda is the recent winner of a 2022-2023 Virginia Space Grant Consortium (VSGC) Undergraduate Research Scholarship. Kayla was awarded $8,500 to help fund drone research she has been conducting with ODU Computer Science Assistant Professor Sampath Jayarathna.
