Winter Session courses are compressed online versions of courses that are offered during Fall and Spring semesters. Instructors pack a full semester's worth of knowledge into three short weeks with the same great faculty, classes, services, and learning opportunities.
The University is officially closed for Winter Break December 23 through January 1, but we still have departments and staff available to help you succeed during Winter Session. For advising assistance, please email advisor@odu.edu.

- Maymester (May 13th - May 30th, 2025) classes are part of the Summer 2025 term.
- In your schedule: Click on the Schedule Details panel and check Class Begin and End dates. Winter Session classes Begin Date is 12/16/2024; End Date is 01/03/2025. Maymester classes Begin Date is 05/13/2025; End Date is 05/30/2025.
- Per University policy, you may not register for more than four (4) credit hours in Winter Session or Maymester classes.

How to Register for Winter Session
1) Login to Leo Online and go to Banner Registration.
2) Click Register-Add/Drop/Withdraw.
3) Select the upcoming spring term.
4) Select a desired subject.
5) Under Part of Term select "Winter Session".
6) Click Search.
(If you get no results, that subject may not be offered in Winter Session. Try searching another subject.)
