Old Dominion University has received a $1 million grant from the National Science Foundation to help its efforts in hiring more women in STEM faculty positions.
The ADVANCE Adaptation grant, which will be spread over three years, was awarded last month. The ADVANCE program seeks to increase the “representation and advancement of women in academic science and engineering careers,” according to the NSF’s website.
