Please join the History Department in celebrating the release of Dr. John Weber's new book William Hanson and the Texas-Mexico Border: Violence, Corruption, and the Making of the Gatekeeper State on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm in BAL 9024. Dr. Weber will present a brief lecture examining the career of Texas Ranger and immigration official William Hanson that illustrates the intersections of corruption, state-building, and racial violence in early twentieth-century Texas.
